big

Lower 1" just by adjusting shock
Lower 2"(?) by a link. (I think there is another link out there that lowers it more...but think that is too much.
Lower 1" by seat. (I think this is worth it. The new seat is supposed to be a LOT more comfortable)

*you will have to modify the kickstand.

You can add 1 to 2 inches by picking up a pair of raised sole riding boots. (My wife rides a Honda 1990 NX125 and bought some womens Harley boots with about 1 1/2" soles and it works great not to mention looks HOT Drool ).

Gel seats can be made for the lowest seat height but cost $$$.

I will probably mostly just wear the MX boots I already own, since I plan on doing 95% of my riding in the dirt.

I'm going to build a 2" lowering link here at work, but I only weigh 140lbs with all my gear on (and dropping) and I think I will need some spring/valve work done also. I've been trying to budget for that too!

Can I take like 2" out of the seat without feeling like I'm riding on a piece of plastic? I need a total of 4" lowered minimum for the KLX or WR. And like 6-7" on a DRZ. Most DRZs are out of my price range right now though!

Well...I didn't get the PW50.

I DID just get a 230M though, but I have to wait until Tuesday to pick it up. big

South Bound Honda made me a deal I couldn't refuse. I kind of already made my mind up anyway. I've never owned a new bike before, so I'm kind of excited!

Very Nice. thumb

I see it is set up for the street. I would watch craigslist or E-bay and pick up a extra set of rims with dirt tires. I had two sets of wheels for my XR650L and it worked perfect. I would commute during the week and change out for the weekend (It was only a 10 min job to swap as I marked all my adjusters for each setup so I did not have to fiddle around each time).

I love it when I get to see other peoples work areas big Not trying to snoop but it looks like you and I have the same gnomes that fill every table surface with stuff when we are not around jack

LOL. That'd be my brother. That bike is the ONLY thing I have in the shop! I'm not much more organized than he is, but I am MORE organized...it's a mess!

I actually want to do most of my riding off-road. The 230M is nearly identical to the 230L (dualsport) so I was planning on getting a set of dual sport tires and just swapping them out more or less permanently! My list of things to buy has grown overnight! big

Hopefully I get to ride it Friday, and then I'll get some better photos! cheers

Congratulations! Those are great bikes. Just need to invest in some other wheels to mount up some dirt worthy tires on and your set. Enjoy that new ride, and definitely give a first ride report when you get back.

cheers punk cheers punk
